Hi! I'm Ashley and I pop in from time to time as my life allows to share snippets of my life as I use my hands to create printables, make my house a home, teach my preschooler at home, find my roots through family history and anything else that I can make time for.
I hope you'll follow me here and on Pinterest as I seek to make my hands His hands.

March Visiting Teaching Handout Free Printable

This month's printable has a lot of options!
As usual, I made a one page printable with just a bit of D&C 25 for all of you to use.
There was so much good inspiration in D&C 25, that I wanted to include all 16 verses for my Sisters, along with the rest of the message, so I also have an extended version with a seperate D&C 25 printable to match. (Anyone else not like to take the time to look up scriptures?!)

Want a quick handout you can print from your own home? Download the "home version" which prints 2 handouts per page. Print and go!

Like the look and sturdiness of photo paper? Download the "photo version" which you can upload to a photo website (like Walgreens), have printed for less than 10 cents each and pick up while running errands.

If you want to go simple, use the March Visiting Teaching handout.

For a greater spiritual message print both the extended handout and the Doctrine and Covenants 25 printable to match. D&C 25 is so full of inspiration for Daughters in His Kingdom.

Having problems? To use the documents:
  • Click on the desired link.
  • Click on the blue "download now" button.
  • There may be a delay- but click on the "download file" link.
  • Open and print or save and upload to a photo printer (I use Walgreens). Home versions are all PDF format and can be opened in Adobe Acrobat. Photo versions are all .jpeg and can be opened in a picture viewing program.
  • Give to your Sisters to enjoy all month long! You'll be amazed at how much they love them!

Printable- Visiting Teaching Introduction

You know, the older ladies you Visit Teach don't have you in their address book on their smart phones! ;) Use this "introduction printable" to help them keep track of you and to know that you care enough to remind them to contact you! Just write in your names and phone numbers so they will always have them handy.

Bonus: it's cute and includes what VT is all about! I made each of them in full sheets to print off 4...one for each sister and one for you and your partner with your Sisters', partner's and coordinator's names and numbers on it or print them out individually.

To use these files:
Click on the link (choose either individual (.jpeg files) or 4 per page (PDF files)) to download the file.
Click on the blue "download file" button.
Print, share and enjoy!

I want to know:
What's your favorite part of visiting teaching?
Mine: the help and support! You always know a good meal will be coming if you have a baby or are sick :)

Bookmark- His Hands

Looking for an easy, inexpensive handout for a lesson or activity?
The song "His Hands" by Kenneth Cope is absolutely gorgeous, so I decided to put the chorus on a cute bookmark.

Click on the above picture to print out a sheet of 7 bookmarks (not to worry, my logo is much smaller on the printed sheet).

Tip: print on light colored paper to accent the details.

Keep it simple by cutting along the lines.
Make it fancy by rounding top corners, cutting the bottom to match the curves and/or threading ribbon through a hole punched in the top.

I want to know:
What activity or lesson will you use this with?

Party Planner Printable (that's a mouthful!)

Here are 2 new printables for you to help plan your next party or event!

The Ultimate Tool- The Talent and Interest Survey

This is my favorite tool for planning activities and getting to know our Sisters!

The idea of the Talent and Interest Survey is to receive input from all your Relief Society Sisters about their talents and interests (including Sisters serving in other auxillaries). You can then use that information to plan all of your midweek Relief Society activities and also to be aware of (and USE!) the many talents and interests in your ward.

This printable includes both a coversheet with instructions and a spreadsheet style topic sheet with a list of many ideas for themes that the Sisters may be interested in. This can be used in many ways (see below) but will lead you in the direction your Sisters need.

To use this file:
Print and attach coversheet to topics sheet!

To download:
Click blue "download now" button
Save where you will remember it

I also have these sheets available in large print for older sisters- contact me through email or comments if you would like large print.

Ideas for using the topic sheet

Mini-Classes:
In order to accomodate our diverse ward (many young couples with young children and many widows), we are planning on having 4 mini-classes per activity. They will each be 30 minutes and 2 will run consecutively. These will hopefully be taught by ward sisters, although our committee will fill in where needed.

One large activity can be planned based on interests.

Use this list to help plan a Relief Society Birthday Party

Spotlight Sisters whose talents are shared either through others (listed on the coversheet) or their own willingness to teach on subjects. This is a great tool to learn more about the many talents our Sisters are blessed with!

If you have questions, please leave them in the comment section.

Your guide to planning Relief Society Midweek Activities

Visit the Relief Society Weekday Meeting Website for a review of what the First Presidency and Relief Society General Presidency envision for our weekday meetings.

"These meetings are meant to be instrumental in teaching the skills and responsibilities of womanhood and motherhood in the Lord’s plan."- Julie B. Beck

Included on this website are the following:

Training Videos:
Sister Beck reviews essential, necessary, and “nice-to-do” tasks and focuses on the essential.
Summary of the video:
In regards to midweek activities we are to follow these guidelines by Sister Beck:
1. Focus on the essentials, including scripture study, temple worship, attending sacrament meeting and prayer.
2. Necessities which includes homemaking duties should be our next goal.
3. 'Nice to do' activities such as crafting add variety and interest to life and should be used, although sparingly.

Sister Allred summarizes handbook policies for additional Relief Society meetings.
To note in regards to midweek activities:
1. All activities need to guide sisters to the temple
2. The midweek activities are to be a "laboratory of what you have learned on Sunday"
3. Multiple topics can be addressed in one activity.

Priorities of midweek activities:
