Timeout- Free Printable
With a new little guy on his way any day now, I am so excited to be a mom of boys (plural!) They are just so much fun...except when they aren't. That's where this cute little printable comes in. I wish that I could credit this poem to someone but I found it via Pinterest
I am also working on one that will work for all families, not just the testosterone fueled homes :) Remember to check back or follow me!
Enjoy!

I found this quote today while reading this article. I couldn't resist making it into a printable as it was so inspiring! I made the printable very simple as I felt that no amount of tweaking could make more of an impact than the simple words.

Free Printable Apostle Card- Updated!
I couldn't resist switching up the apostle cards a little to fit what I always like to do...print on photo paper. Many reasons why I do this (ink costs, sturdier, too lazy to have them laminated....)
Anyway, I just realized a huge bonus to printing on photo paper. Ready? You sure? It changed my life ;)...
We will be compiling these into a book after conference with a hole punched in the top left corner and a ring or ribbon to tie them together. Sacrament meeting and family home evening will be so enriched by inviting these leaders into our homes!
So, without further ramblings, here is the link for the updated printable cards!

You can use dry erase markers on the photo paper!!!
This means that you can write notes on the apostle cards, count the number of times each of the gospel related words is said during conference (included in my printable is a list of 70+ topics that are great to be continually studying straight from LDS.org!). You could also just let the kids have fun with some markers to get familiar with what each apostle looks like. We will be compiling these into a book after conference with a hole punched in the top left corner and a ring or ribbon to tie them together. Because of the super awesome find that photo paper works with dry erase markers, I will be making a printable quiet book for Sacrament meeting which includes games such as tic-tac-toe and other fun games! Anything you would like included in a printable quiet book? Leave a comment!
LDS Apostles Printable Cards
Use this 3 page PDF printable which includes a card for each apostle with their ordination date as well as ideas for use and fun additional "informational cards" to:
Teach your children to identify the apostles, know their ordination dates, understand the organization of the general authorities, listen for key words during conference, play games like match and "go fish", study specific topics in family home evening...and much more! The printable includes a whole list of uses for during general conference and after conference is over (Think Family Home Evening and teaching). My favorite part is the list of "keywords" that we will hear during conference (compiled using the "study by topic" section of lds.org). I plan to use that as a springboard for our FHE and other teaching moments...as well as studying them all myself....I included the instructions to count how many times each word is said, that repetition sure does help!
After conference is over, I will be making our cards into a "mini book" for church. I think these cards will be getting a lot of use in our house!
I want to know:
How does your family "celebrate" general conference?

Free Printable- Motherhood is near to divinity.
I love this qute that was shared in the April 1999 LDS General Conference by Elder Russell M. Nelson. He stated that it was given years ago by the First Presidency, but I am unable to find who to credit with this beautiful quote.

Printable- The Sacrament
Here is a printable that I made for a lesson on the sacrament. After having to miss sacrament meeting for 2 weeks, yesterday it was so refreshing to partake of the sacrament...it prepared me for the week and was so refreshing!
I handed this out with jam. If you were presenting a lesson for a large class, you could bring some bread and jam as a treat.
Enjoy!

I know, I promised tips on feeding many people on a budget...but...I had a little hangup with the printable I was making for ya'll. It will be up soon and I promise it won't disappoint!
So, today I thought I would post a few handouts that are perfect for a lesson or just for inspiration for someone you know.

March Visiting Teaching Handout Free Printable
This month's printable has a lot of options!
As usual, I made a one page printable with just a bit of D&C 25 for all of you to use.
There was so much good inspiration in D&C 25, that I wanted to include all 16 verses for my Sisters, along with the rest of the message, so I also have an extended version with a seperate D&C 25 printable to match. (Anyone else not like to take the time to look up scriptures?!)
Want a quick handout you can print from your own home? Download the "home version" which prints 2 handouts per page. Print and go!
Like the look and sturdiness of photo paper? Download the "photo version" which you can upload to a photo website (like Walgreens), have printed for less than 10 cents each and pick up while running errands.
If you want to go simple, use the March Visiting Teaching handout.
For a greater spiritual message print both the extended handout and the Doctrine and Covenants 25 printable to match. D&C 25 is so full of inspiration for Daughters in His Kingdom.
Having problems? To use the documents:
- Click on the desired link.
- Click on the blue "download now" button.

- Open and print or save and upload to a photo printer (I use Walgreens). Home versions are all PDF format and can be opened in Adobe Acrobat. Photo versions are all .jpeg and can be opened in a picture viewing program.
- Give to your Sisters to enjoy all month long! You'll be amazed at how much they love them!

Printable- Visiting Teaching Introduction
You know, the older ladies you Visit Teach don't have you in their address book on their smart phones! ;) Use this "introduction printable" to help them keep track of you and to know that you care enough to remind them to contact you! Just write in your names and phone numbers so they will always have them handy.
Bonus: it's cute and includes what VT is all about! I made each of them in full sheets to print off 4...one for each sister and one for you and your partner with your Sisters', partner's and coordinator's names and numbers on it or print them out individually.

Bookmark- His Hands
Looking for an easy, inexpensive handout for a lesson or activity?
The song "His Hands" by Kenneth Cope is absolutely gorgeous, so I decided to put the chorus on a cute bookmark.
Click on the above picture to print out a sheet of 7 bookmarks (not to worry, my logo is much smaller on the printed sheet).
Tip: print on light colored paper to accent the details.
Keep it simple by cutting along the lines.
Make it fancy by rounding top corners, cutting the bottom to match the curves and/or threading ribbon through a hole punched in the top.

The Ultimate Tool- The Talent and Interest Survey
The idea of the Talent and Interest Survey is to receive input from all your Relief Society Sisters about their talents and interests (including Sisters serving in other auxillaries). You can then use that information to plan all of your midweek Relief Society activities and also to be aware of (and USE!) the many talents and interests in your ward.
This printable includes both a coversheet with instructions and a spreadsheet style topic sheet with a list of many ideas for themes that the Sisters may be interested in. This can be used in many ways (see below) but will lead you in the direction your Sisters need.
To use this file:
Print and attach coversheet to topics sheet!
To download:
Click blue "download now" button
Save where you will remember it
I also have these sheets available in large print for older sisters- contact me through email or comments if you would like large print.
Ideas for using the topic sheet
In order to accomodate our diverse ward (many young couples with young children and many widows), we are planning on having 4 mini-classes per activity. They will each be 30 minutes and 2 will run consecutively. These will hopefully be taught by ward sisters, although our committee will fill in where needed.
One large activity can be planned based on interests.
Use this list to help plan a Relief Society Birthday Party
Spotlight Sisters whose talents are shared either through others (listed on the coversheet) or their own willingness to teach on subjects. This is a great tool to learn more about the many talents our Sisters are blessed with!
If you have questions, please leave them in the comment section.
